Student, Amherst College
August 2020 — May 2024
Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Music (Double Major).
My name is Daniel Flores García. I was born and raised in Tegucigalpa, Honduras; currently, I’m a senior at Amherst College.
I am both a computer scientist and a musician. In my work, I aim to create beautiful and impactful things, which can range from crafting functional and elegant code to producing groovy and expressive music.
Through school, I’ve found that I really like brainstorming and developing generative models for musicking, diving into papers about information theory and adversarial methods, writing buffer overflow exploits for educational purposes, and coding a simple, simulated OS kernel. Outside of school, I enjoy writing, performing, and recording my own music. I’ve also been fortunate enough to refine my software engineering skills through summer internships.
